Being farmer-owned has helped us visualize all aspects of agricultural production. Shareholders (producers) elect board members from 10 districts. These 11 board members, with one at large, discuss the operations of the elevator and represent their district. This management system has kept Alliance Grain Cooperative thriving these last 20 years.
